Child Care at University Village

As part of its commitment to child care, UCLA has established a preschool child care facility at University Village. It provides services for nearly 200 children through two programs – UCLA Child Care and University Parents Nursery School. The preschool programs are separate entities and operate independently from University Apartments and each other.

UCLA Child Care provides excellent programs for children ages two months to six years. Call (310) 825-5086 for more information or visit their website.

University Parents Nursery School is a cooperative that cares for children two to five years old. Call (310) 397-2735 for more information or visit their website.

Note: Due to limited space, parents with preschool age children are urged to call the child care program they are interested in prior to arrival at UCLA. The costs and eligibility criteria vary for each group. Limited scholarships are available.

Growing your family?

Students who are pregnant and living in University housing have a few resources available to them.

Students can transition to family housing in University Village, either as soon as a unit is available or if they want to wait until closer to the birth, that is an option as well. Students should reach out to their Resident Director for guidance through this process.

Students should also connect with the Students with Dependents program. The staff are ready to share resources and provide support to students.
The Financial Aid and Scholarship Office can help ensure students are receiving any additional aid available to cover increased expenses.

UCLA also offers these resources for food assistance
