Computer Repair

Meeting your Needs 

The Student Technology Center (STC) provides technical assistance for the UCLA On-Campus and Off-Campus Housing Residential and Spectrum Managed Network services. Our highly trained staff is equipped to provide technical support with computer problems over the phone and in person in our office. Computer repair services are offered for a reasonable fee. We also provide lab computers with internet access and basic productivity software, printing/copying/scanning (in black & white or color), and domestic & international faxing.

At the Student Technology Center we provide basic computer diagnostics and support for a reasonable fee to students. 

​Our computer services: 

Software-based Services (Windows OS to be provided by student)

  • Diagnostics (includes data backup) & Data Transfer (programs not included) -- $15
  • Virus Removal -- $30
  • Reformat (OS Reinstall) -- $30
     

Hardware-based services (All hardware will be provided by student resident)

  • Hard Drive Installation -- $30
  • RAM Installation -- $30
  • Battery Installation -- $30
     

We do not offer hardware repairs on computers, and we do not repair printers or cellphones. However, we can try to help with these devices within our abilities pending any current warranties on device.
