BRUIN ANNOUNCEMENT
NOTICE - Spectrum Disconnect Letter - Residents of Sepulveda
Update: 12:02 PM 3/1/2024
Dear resident,
It has come to our attention that some users have received a disconnect letter from Spectrum Community Solutions. If you did not receive a disconnect notice, please disregard this email. If you are using the Spectrum Enterprise equipment that was installed in your unit in October of 2023, then your services WILL NOT be affected. Please DO NOT return or remove any Spectrum Enterprise equipment from your unit.
If you moved in after October of 2023, a coax modem and router should have been in your unit when you moved in. If you are using the equipment that was already installed in your unit, then your services will not be affected. If you opened a personal residential account with Spectrum, then your services will be cut.
Per Spectrum, the disconnect notice was sent to users that have unreturned residential equipment under their name. This includes cable TV boxes. If you have a cable TV box, the services are no longer being paid by the University and the equipment must be returned. The new Spectrum Enterprise service does not include cable TV service. Instead residents can use the streaming service SpectrumU. For more information on SpectrumU and how to connect please click here.
If you have any residential equipment, please return it to your nearest Spectrum or UPS store. The modem and router that were installed in October of 2023 ARE NOT residential equipment and SHOULD NOT be returned or removed from the unit.
FAQ
- How do I know if I have residential equipment?
- Residential accounts are opened by the resident. If you called Spectrum, opened an account under your name, and personally picked up or had a modem installed in your unit, you have residential equipment. If you have a personal Spectrum account, then you have residential equipment. The equipment installed in October of 2023 IS NOT residential equipment. DO NOT remove or return it to Spectrum.
Location
We are located on The Hill in lobby level of Covel Commons Building.
