Weyburn Terrace and Hilgard Apartments are communities specifically for single graduate students. Below are the common areas and amenities that you share with your community members. Please be respectful of each other and strive to make the community comfortable for everyone.
Laundry Rooms
Each building has a laundry room located on the ground floor. Washing is $1.50 and drying is $1.25. In Weyburn Terrace, payment is made using the new PayRange app. In Hilgard, payment is still made using your BruinCard (Hilgard will be updated to PayRange later). The washing machines and dryers are maintained by WASH. To submit a service request for repairs or refunds, please contact WASH by calling 800-342-5932 or visiting www.washlaundry.com
You may not have a personal washing machine and/or dryer in your apartment.
Study Rooms and Lounges
Each building has a study room for residents to use. There is also a central Graduate Lounge located in Weyburn Commons on the 3rd floor. The Graduate Lounge is available for all our graduate residents and features study tables, couches, a large TV, and a pool table. The study rooms and lounge are meant for all to enjoy, please do not remove the furniture from these areas.
Bike Racks
Bike racks are located throughout the courtyard areas, please do not leave your bike in other areas. We also have a "bike room" located next to the mail room in Paseo where you may secure your bike. We strongly recommend that you use a U-Lock to secure your bike and to register your bike with the National Bike Registry. If your bike is stolen, this will help the police identify and return your bike to you. Visit www.nationalbikeregistry.com
Trash and Recycling
Trash chutes and recycling collection bins are located on every floor of each building. If trash is too large to fit down the chute, do not force it, please carry it down to the trash room located in the garage and place it in the dumpster. If the item is too heavy, you may leave it next to the dumpster. Paseo does not have a garage, so the trash room is in back of Paseo A.
You can recycle clean paper products and cardboard, as well as glass, cans, and most plastic containers. Please rinse containers of food residue before placing in the bins.
No Smoking PLEASE
UCLA is a smoke-free and tobacco-free campus. Smoking is prohibited in all UCLA buildings or outside areas while on UCLA property, including housing. This ban includes cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes, vaping, medicinal marijuana, and recreational marijuana (per UC Policy).
Quiet Hours
Please be respectful of your roommate and neighbors who might be studying, conducting research, or just on a different schedule.
Sunday through Thursday, quiet hours begin at 10 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, quiet hours begin at 12 a.m. (midnight)
Please call 310-983-1300 to report a noise disturbance.
Safety and Security
Safety is everyone's responsibility. Help keep our community safe and secure by making sure gates, doors, and garages close completely and are not propped open. Report any broken locks or closing mechanisms immediately to 310-825-3595. Every resident needs to use their own key to gain entrance to the buildings and garages. Do not allow strangers to enter with you. Deadbolt your door and lock your windows overnight and when you leave the apartment.
Pest Control
We offer pest control assistance to our residents. Please come to the UAN Administration Office in Weyburn Commons to complete a Pest Control Request form and receive information about the different treatment methods that may be used for different pests.
