After completing RSU, all eligible returning students must also accept their official housing offer to secure their housing for the upcoming academic year. Housing Services will email all students once the housing offer is available.
Accept Your Housing Offer
- Log into the Housing Portal
- Select “Housing Application” from the menu
- Enter the Undergraduate Academic Year term
- Review and select your contract options
- Sign and download the housing contract
- Pay the initial payment if prompted
- The process is complete once the Application Status page shows a status of 5-Offer Accepted

Students interested in requesting a new building, room type, room, and/or Living Learning Community (LLC) can submit a Change of Assignment Request (CAR). Students must accept their offer before they can submit a CAR. More information on requirements and the review process is available in Ask Housing.
2026-2027 CAR Deadline: July 15, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
Students wishing to opt into or out of gender inclusive housing:
- Can update the preference after accepting the offer
- Changes may affect assignment and contract cost
- Request the update via the Housing Portal under “Manage Your Housing”

A $500 initial payment is required if you fall into one of the following categories:
- Student Aid Index (SAI) is greater than 16,000
- FAFSA still processing
- No FAFSA on file
This is not an extra fee, it goes toward your fall quarter housing costs.
Roommate information will be released once all room and roommate information is finalized at the end of the summer. Housing Services will not provide any name or contact information for roommates until then.
Students needing University housing for fall quarter are issued a housing offer for the full academic year. Students who are graduating or participating in an Education Abroad Program (EAP) mid-year will be required to sign a contract for the full academic year but will be eligible to cancel their contract early.
