We are excited to welcome you to campus for summer! Below is important information regarding your move-in.
You will receive an email notification when your summer housing assignment, roommate information, and move-in details are available in the Housing Portal.
Assignment & Move-In Information
You will receive an email notification when your summer housing assignment, roommate information, and move-in details are available in the Housing Portal.
To access this information:
- Log in to the Housing Portal.
- Select Manage Your Housing.
- Choose 2026 Summer Session Booking.
- From the drop-down menu, select View Assignment Information.
Checking In: On-Campus
Check-in occurs on the start date of your housing contract.
- If your contract begins on Sunday, June 21 or Sunday, August 2: You may check in at the satellite desk in Rieber Court, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
- If your contract begins on any other date: Check-in will be at the Rieber Court Front Desk, located in Rieber Hall.
Additional Notes:
- Move-in carts will be available.
- Parking for unloading is available in Lot 11 (pay-by-space) or at metered street parking.
- The Rieber turnaround will not be accessible to vehicles.
Checking In: University Apartments
Check-in occurs on the start date of your housing contract.
- Check in at the University Apartments North Administrative Office, located at: 11020 Weyburn Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90024
- The office is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, we ask that you plan to arrive between 12:00 p.m. (noon) and 6:00 p.m.
- If you arrive between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., access can be requested via the Sentex box outside the office or by calling 310-983-1300.
Staythrough
Spring to Summer
If you are currently living in university housing for Spring Quarter 2026, you are eligible to purchase a staythrough, which allows a direct transition from your spring room to your summer assignment.
Summer to Fall
If you are living in university housing for the 2026–2027 academic year, you are eligible to purchase a staythrough to move directly from your summer space to your fall room. More information will be available in August.
Early Arrivals & Late Departures
Students who need to arrive one day before their summer session begins or depart one day after it ends may submit a request for an early arrival or late departure.
Due to the limited time between summer sessions and the academic year, early arrivals and late departures are not guaranteed and are subject to space availability. If approved, an additional nightly charge will apply.
Early Arrivals
• If your contract begins on Sunday, June 21, you may request a one-day early arrival through the Housing Portal beginning June 17.
• If your contract begins on Sunday, August 2, additional information will be available later in the summer.
• If your contract begins on any other date, contact the Rieber Court Front Desk, RieberFrontDesk@housing.ucla.edu to request a one-day early arrival.
Late Departures
Information about move-out and late departure requests will be emailed 1–2 weeks before the end of your summer session. Instructions for requesting a one-day late departure will be included in that communication.
