Summer Sessions Housing

Summer session housing is available for most students who are enrolled in summer courses. Students who are participating in a precollege summer institute should refer to the housing options listed for their specific program. Some institutes offer housing as part of the registration process, in which case students do not need to apply separately through UCLA Housing Services. However, if a summer institute is designated as a commuter program, students who are 17 years of age or older as of June 22, 2025, may be eligible to apply for an independent housing contract through Housing Services. Please note that summer housing is only available for dates that align with UCLA summer sessions, which may not exactly match the dates of the summer institute. Students must apply for the full summer session that encompasses their program dates and will be billed for the entire session, even if their program ends earlier.

For summer 2025, housing options will be on-campus. Students have the option for an on-campus triple deluxe room, or a double or triple shared suite. Each contract comes with 14R meal plan. Rates can be found here.

The summer 2025 housing application will open March 25, 2025. Please note if you are a "summer only" student, you will not be able to proceed with the housing application until you have enrolled in summer session courses. At that time you will have access to myUCLA, where you will need to ensure that your gender identity and lived name are updated. We will use this information to make your housing assignment. You will then be able to submit a housing application.
