The Student Technology Center (STC) staff provides technical assistance for the UCLA On-Campus and Off-Campus Housing Residential and Spectrum Managed Network services. Our highly trained staff is equipped to provide technical support with computer problems over the phone and in person in our office. Computer repair services are offered for a reasonable fee. We also provide lab computers with internet access and basic productivity software, printing/copying/scanning (in black & white or color), and domestic & international faxing.

Spectrum Managed WiFi Issues

Monday, October 6, 2025 - Update: Thank you so much for your patience with us as we have been continuously working with Spectrum to resolve this issue. Spectrum has reached out and requested that all students retry to connect to the UCLA_housing network and to report back whether or not they are able to successfully reconnect.

We would like to address the ongoing issues with Spectrum related to Wi-Fi and the PAN network. We understand this has been disruptive, and we appreciate your patience as we continue working toward a resolution. Thank you for your patience on the Spectrum internet connectivity issue and appreciate you reporting the situation to us. Although the issue is not yet resolved entirely, please know it has not been forgotten and we’re still engaged with Spectrum.  We acknowledge it’s an inconvenience to our fellow Bruin Communities and continue to keep this top of mind.
