On-Campus Housing Move Out Procedures

Fall Quarter 2018 Move out information

Students must check out of their room by 10:00 p.m. on the Friday December 14, 2018.  Our on-campus facilities are closed to residents during Winter Break.  Residential buildings will reopen for returning students at 8:00 a.m. on the Saturday, January 6, 2018.  New contracts beginning winter quarter may check in at noon on Sunday, January 6, 2019.

Friday Night Stay-over

Residents who have late finals from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Friday or those with legitimate transportation issues, may submit a request to Stay-Over for an additional night for a $75 charge through their front desk. The last day to submit a request for a Friday night stay over is 4:00 p.m. on the Friday, December 7, 2018.  If the request is made after the deadline, the resident will be charged an additional $25 late fee. A student must print a copy of his/her final schedule and/or his/her travel information and take it to the front desk for Stay-Over approval. Check out deadline for approved Friday night stay over is 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

Winter Break Stay-through

Residents who have a need to stay on campus during the Winter Break may request Stay-Through accommodations. There is an additional charge for the Stay-Through package in the amount of $1,105.00. $552.50 will be posted the morning after the request is made and is due immediately. The remaining amount of $552.50 due by November 30th. The full amount is due at time of purchase if Stay-Through is requested after November 30th. The stay-through is from Friday, December 14, 2018 to Saturday, January 5, 2019. There will be no prorated rates offered for shorter stays.

The stay-through includes two meals a day at Cafe 1919. Meals will not be served during the following days:

December 14, 2018 (Dinner)
December 23 - 25, 2018
December 29, 2018 - January 1, 2019

Please note, on the days where no meals are served, the nightly rate will be decreased.

The stay-through package is available for purchase and can be purchased either via email through the Ask A Question tab or come into the Housing Services office. Please be aware that front desk hours will be limited during the stay-through period. The Covel Commons dispatch desk will remain open 24 hours a day for the entire break, and will provide service to residents when the desks are closed. Students who have not purchased a stay-through package will only be allowed entrance to their room for emergency reasons.
