Housing

Identify potential rooms and buildings to be used for quarantined students. Determine quarantine procedure. (Attachment 1)

Notify students on how to prevent the contraction and spreading of influenza including getting a flu vaccination. Facilitate flu vaccinations at opportune times.

Ensure most potent disinfectant utilized in restroom and public area high usage items (knobs, handles and buttons) cleaning

Set up Housing and Dining command center in conjunction with Housing ICS model

Determine human resource needs and availability

Set in motion notification plans for vacating buildings to be used for quarantined students

Enact program to care for residents with confirmed symptoms including: sanitation packs, RA visits, and increased cleaning

Plan for creating day care environments if conditions advance to Level 2

Ensure supplies required for quarantine are on hand.

Enact weekly RA reports on estimated sick students

Dining

Ensure delivery of food supplies to the Campus is planned and contingency planning developed

Ensure meal delivery method for those in both quarantined and non-quarantined areas is planned (# of facilities open, hours of operations, room delivery protocol etc.).

Determine human resource needs and availability

Enact meal service emergency plan based on (1) whether the campus is open or closed,(2) number of students on the hill, and (3) availability of resources and resource providers

Identify meal delivery need and method for quarantined students

Work with Student Health to train designated students and staff on risks and response.

Prepare email to all residents and staff on the status of the outbreak and our plan to be sent in Level 1 (Attachment 5)

Ensure availability of a series of communication pieces designed to update residents on status including risks, plans, and individual responsibilities. Determine redundant methods of distributing this information (emails, twitter, flyers, web etc.)

Develop web site to post information regarding the situation to be launched and updated in Level 1 (TBD)

Communicate situation and needs to residents

Launch website with information regarding the situation

Work with campus to determine volunteer needs, and communicate these needs to residential population

Enact webcasts and other methodologies to communicate consistent, relevant, and culturally sensitive information regarding the pandemic and impacts.

Medical

Identify and train essential personnel and their back-ups on training on respiratory protection from EH&S

Work with campus to develop a plan in case of death.

Human Resource Issues

Determine Human Resource protocols.
