University Apartments Summer Assignment Process

Housing assignment requests for University Apartments are processed on a first come, first served basis. The Housing Assignment Office assigns students to available spaces in the order of the date payments are received. If residents are assigned a housing option other than the one indicated on their assignment request form, they will be advised of any refund to be issued or additional fees required.

Students enrolled in Summer Sessions or who are current University Apartments residents are eligible to live in University Apartments during the Summer Sessions, June 24 - September 14, 2018.

Roommate requests are not guaranteed, however, mutual requests based on the information provided on the application will be considered. Specific roommate and building requests must be made by both students to be honored. Residents will be notified of their assigned room and roommate at the time of check in. Males and females are housed in separate rooms. A separate contract and full payment is required for each person.

Students Under the Age of 18

Students under the age of 18 are not eligible to live in University Apartments.

The Housing Office is not able to accommodate Summer Sessions students under the age of 18 on an individual basis. Students under the age of 18 must have either an individual chaperone and/or be with an assigned group with a designated chaperone in order to meet a minimum 1-10 ratio for student/chaperon supervision.

For pre-college and middle school students, UCLA Housing recommends Summer Discovery and Jr. Discovery.  These programs are designed to create an environment that is intellectually stimulating, culturally and socially enriching, and fun. Since safety, security, and health are our primary concerns, these programs offer a higher level of adult supervision and control. To learn more about these programs, visit:
