Information about the Community Housing Office (CHO).

The Community Housing Office

If you’re looking for private, off-campus housing, start your search by visiting the UCLA Community Housing Office (CHO) website. There you will find information on different types of housing, neighborhood profiles, average rental rates, landlord/tenant responsibilities, and current rental listings.

You can also visit the Community Housing Office where a helpful staff member will assist you with a wide range of information and services including: The UCLA Guide to Living Off-Campus, neighborhood profiles, hotel/motel list, and more.

CHO posts extensive rental vacancies and roommate listings. Most of the posted rentals are available for immediate occupancy, but it usually takes from two to five days to choose an apartment and be accepted as a tenant.

The CHO is located on campus at 360 De Neve Drive in the Housing Administration area of Sproul Hall.

Students with Disabilities

Students with disabilities should ask about accommodations when inquiring about community housing. Handicapped accessible parking at UCLA is available to students with medically certified permanent or temporary physical disabilities and to drivers for the visually impaired. For more information call the Office for Students with Disabilities at (310) 825-1501 or (310) 206-6083 (TDD).

Short-Term Housing

The UCLA Guest House is an excellent short-term housing alternative while visiting UCLA. Rates are competitive with comparable local area hotels. Its on-campus location makes the Guest House convenient when touring the campus. For reservations, call (310) 825-2923 or emailguesthouse@ha.ucla.edu.
