2013-2014 Room Sign Up Application Process

Introduction

UCLA Housing Room Sign Up is an on line process that provides eligible residents the opportunity to select their housing for the 2013-2014 Academic Year.

It is a five step process:

Step 1: Submit an application along with a non-refundable $30 application fee by 4 p.m., January 29, 2013. Note: The preferences indicated on the application will not limit a student's actual room and/or roommate selection during Room Sign Up.
Step 2: Receive the Room Sign Up access code and priority sign up time on February 25, 2013.
Step 3: Select a room and roommate during the on-line Room Sign Up process, March 5-7, 2013.
Step 4: Accept 2013-2014 housing offer on line by 4 p.m., April 16, 2013.
Step 5: Pay initial 2012-2013 housing payment on line or in person by 4 p.m., April 30, 2013.

 

Eligibility

Single undergraduate students currently living on campus or in University Apartments who are eligible will be notified by email on December 1, 2012.

Only eligible students who apply by the deadline of 4 p.m., January 29, 2013, will receive an email on February 25, 2013 directing them to a website that will provide instructions for the Room Sign Up process.

Single undergraduates may apply to the 2013-2014 Housing Lottery at anytime. However, students who apply by 4 p.m., January 29, 2013, will be offered housing prior to lottery applicants that pay after this date.

Students who do not apply by the January 29, 2013 Housing Application deadline will no longer be guaranteed housing.

 

Application

Please click on the Apply for Housing link located in Related Information. MasterCard, Discover, and electronic funds transfer from a checking or savings account are all on-line payments options. 

 

Decline Housing Application

To decline the housing application, select the Undergraduate Housing Application link on the My Housing web site at http://www.housing.ucla.edu/my-housing, log in and select Single Undergraduate Student. The next page to appear will allow the student to check a box stating that he/she does not need housing and wishes to decline the housing application.

 

Sign Up Times

The on-line Room Sign Up process will be available starting March 5 - 7, 2013. Instructions to look up priority numbers and sign up times will be distributed in an informational email on February 25, 2013.
