Non-Resident Meal Plan Contract

Terms of Agreement:

  1. You must have a valid UCLA Bruin Card to sign up for and use a non-resident meal plan.
     
  2. Non-resident meal plans are valid from 10:00 a.m. on the contract start date and end with the last meal served on the last day of the academic quarter.
     
  3. You may eat in any on-campus residential restaurant.
     
  4. The non-resident meal plan is not valid in Ackerman Union or any ASUCLA restaurant.
     
  5. Non-resident meal plans are not transferable. Any violation will result in a fee for misuse and/or the immediate termination of the meal plan.
     
  6. Non-resident meal plan holders are not eligible to purchase discounted guest meals.
     
  7. Non-resident meal plan holders may have only one meal plan per quarter.
     
  8. Non-resident meal plans do not allow for multiple ‘swipes’ in a meal period.
     
  9. Unused meals do not carry forward each week. There is no refund for unused meals.
     
  10. Non-resident meal plans may be cancelled with a $25 processing fee. The refund for unused meals will be prorated, using the nightly rate, based on the date of last use or request date, whichever is greater. 5 and 10 meal plans will be prorated based on a Monday-Friday five-day week. 7 and 14 meal plans will be prorated based on a seven-day week.
     
  11. Non-resident meal plans may be upgraded or downgraded, but will incur a $25 processing fee for the change. Upgrades and downgrades will be effective the following Monday.
     
  12. Any upgrade, downgrade, or cancellation must be requested in person at the Housing Administration Office in Sproul Hall.
     
  13. If a student purchases a room and board on-campus housing contract, the remaining meal credit will be applied to the new contract.
     
  14. Non-resident meal plan holders agree to abide by the On Campus Housing Regulations, which are available online at https://reslife.ucla.edu/regulations.
